MOD APPLICATIONS

Hello! Due to the incredible amount of interest We're Still Here has been getting, I've decided to make a catch-all for mod applications. Here are the positions I'm currently looking to fill:

PLOT MOD
Plot mods will work directly with me to plan for events, write event posts (and the odd TDM) and tag around as NPCs. We're Still Here isn't intended to be the sort of plot-heavy game that relies solely on NPC interactions and quests to run, however, there may be times where you'll be needed to help tag as them during events and player plots.

Other than that, you'll also be my soundboard for We're Still Here's story and help me develop the plot and move it along! Since you would be privy to details about the game's world that wouldn't be available to other players, you would also help me answer questions on the FAQ and handle player plot suggestions/engagements. I'd like our players to be self-sufficient and make their own fun and challenges, and that's half of what I'm looking for with plot mods: people who can inspire others by giving them the tools they need to tell their story.

LIST MODS
List mods will mostly be needed to update pages with player demographics such as the taken and housing lists. You'll also be in charge of updating the reserves list, removing dropped players and processing activity checks as well as hiatuses and canon updates. This role will also require some coding, or at least some experience with html. Nothing incredibly elaborate, but coding is not my strong suit, so I would be relying on you to help me fix a table if I break it, or to come up with templates the game can use for info and event pages.

OTHER TASKS BOTH GROUPS SHARE
In addition, all of us will be responsible for dealing with player concerns, feedback and other OOC issues together as a team. This could range from making a decision about how to handle a problem player to addressing feedback from our playerbase with regards to improving the game. Additionally, both groups will also assist with processing applications, meaning that during application rounds we would have to devote a week or so to reviewing apps which requires 1) familiarizing ourselves with the canon, 2) looking for a personality section that delves below the surface of the character, and 3) making sure the samples accurately reflect that personality.

If you're still interested in joining the team-to-be, great!! Just fill out the application below. You may have already answered some of these questions in your initial PM, but please do so again! This will allow me to keep everyone's data together, which will make coming to a decision much easier. Also, don't feel like you have to go off the rails filling this out; it can be as formal or informal as you like.

I hope I've been thorough! Feel free to message this account directly if you have any questions. All comments will be screened and IP logging is off.

BASICS

NAME:
CONTACT INFORMATION:
TIMEZONE:
WHICH MOD ROLE ARE YOU INTERESTED IN:
WHY WOULD YOU LIKE TO MOD?
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: (Not necessary, but it's a plus.)
TIME YOU CAN DEVOTE TO RP: (This is important! Please be realistic with how much time you see yourself having. You don't need to get too specific, but I'd like to avoid anyone quitting after a week.)
ARE YOU COMFORTABLE WITH MODDING ANONYMOUSLY? (Also important!)
ARE THERE ANY TASKS YOU DON'T SEE YOURSELF FEELING COMFORTABLE DOING? (For example, would you be comfortable with reviewing apps, or acting as a mediator between two players in conflict?)
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A MOD TEAM: (Basically, what expectations do you have for me and the team? This is a good way for me to see if we're all on the same wavelength, so be honest and straightforward.)

PLOT MODS ONLY (delete this if you're not applying for that position)

HOW OFTEN CAN YOU DO NPC TAGS?
WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN BEING ASSIGNED YOUR OWN NPC?
WHAT DRAWS YOU TO A GAME LIKE THIS? (Do you like horror? Do you just like the time period? Essentially, what is it about the game's story that makes it sound appealing to write for?)
WHAT GENRES OF HORROR DO YOU LIKE? (Do you like psychological horror that draws upon things like unstable memories and gaslighting? Do you have any preferences for gore? Do you like Stephen King's ultra detailed, visceral brand of horror, or do you like something a little more abstract like Silent Hill? Feel free to give examples!)
PLOT/EVENT IDEA: (This doesn't have to be very elaborate or fully-baked, but I'd like to see you demonstrate an ability to plan an event or plot from start to finish with a beginning, middle and end. Think of a challenge or something you'd like to see characters in a horror story or DND campaign deal with.)

LIST MODS (delete this if you're not applying for that position)
DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CODING/HTML?
DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MAKING GRAPHICS? (Certainly not as necessary as having coding experience, but if you have any skills that we could use to make graphics for the game like headers and NPC icons, it's a plus! If you have any examples, feel free to link them.)

DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR ME? (Ask 'em here!)
IF NOT PICKED FOR THE POSITION, WOULD YOU STILL LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ANY FUTURE MOD OR HELPER MOD POSITIONS SHOULD THEY BECOME AVAILABLE?
