HIATUSES, DROPS AND CANON UPDATES

People come and go every day.

HIATUS/DROPS

If you know you will be too busy to make AC, you may take a hiatus at any point before that month’s AC goes up. While you’re on a hiatus, you will be exempt from that month’s AC. Consecutive hiatuses will not be permitted, and once the AC period begins, you are not permitted to apply for one.

If you find that you need to drop, please use this post instead of idling out. If you idle out, we reserve the right to kill your character off at our discretion for plot purposes. If you idle out and want to reapply for the same character, you must wait one application round before you can do so again.

Please state in your comment title whether you are taking a HIATUS or DROPPING. If you are dropping multiple characters, you must fill out the removal part of the form for each character.

CANON UPDATES

If you wish to canon update your character, please fill out the following form with the subject line "CANON UPDATE - [YOUR CHARACTER NAME]". Please note that you may only canon update your character to a future or new point in canon, not a past one. Also, canon updates for newly released canon material can only be applied for six weeks after the new material’s release. This is to give other canon familiar players a chance to digest the new material and to prevent premature circulation of spoilers.

While undergoing a canon update, your character will disappear from Santa Rosita and return to their homeworld with no memories of their time in Santa Rosita. They may return to Santa Rosita at the player’s convenience, either within seconds or days.

Personality: archer will see his daughter for the first time since he woke up and save her from a kidnapping, learn that she doesn't know he's her father because she was never told (oof ouchie), then go to antarctica and save the world from a guy who wanted to nuke the ice caps to flood everything along with possibly realising he's not actually in his coma anymore. typical spy stuff!
Notes: from his new canon point, archer will be soaked and freezing from a dip in the artic ocean (and somehow not dead), does this carry over to him reappearing in santa rosita or does he show back up how he left?

When Archer reappears in Santa Rosita, he can return in the same clothes and condition as when he disappeared, or he can return sopping wet with seawater. You may choose whichever option you'd prefer to play out!

Notes: due to the storms in her area, margot's power and heat have been out for most of the week. her internet is also unreliable and she's not sure when any of it will be back. she asked me to post this for her since she can't do it herself.

Margot's hiatus has been noted! We do ask that Margot append "- HIATUS" to her February 2021 AC header whenever she is able to (this is not a time-sensitive request, given the circumstances; it is fine if this is done after the AC check period begins!). No activity will be required for this month.
